Four honey bee Princess colonies in Apidea mating hives – kept sealed indoors for 3 days so the Princess and worker bees in each colony can get to know each other; after which, they will be placed outside and allowed to fly out. Each Princess will need to go on at least one successful mating flight before she can become a proper, egg laying Queen
